DOAN is a Clown Artivist Group that brings a unique blend of performance art and activism to the streets of Greece.

The team started its activity in 2017 with 27 clowns performing in Athens and Thessaloniki.

This was the 'Clown's Awakening'.

Since then the team joins social movements, with its climax in the latest events in the all-artistic rally of 2023, where 52 clowns stood facing the cops in one of the biggest mobilizations of the movement.

Alongside with its artivist street activity, DOAN enriches its artistic side by exploring ancient tragedies, plays classified in the Theater of the Absurd and non-word pieces, all based on ritual, dance and clown technique, such as the failure of overcoming the obstacle, creating a new form on performing arts, combining rite with humor.
